PURVEYOR TO H.M. THE QUEEN OF DENMARK'S HOUSEHOLD

Since 1906

Danæg has a long and proud history - dating back to 1895. Only 11 years after the founding of the cooperative, Danæg, then called Dansk Andels Ægexport, became the supplier of eggs to the Danish Royal Court. Here you can learn what it means to be a court supplier.

Appointed on H.M. The Queen's birthday

The predicate cannot be purchased, but requires an application, which is assessed and approved by Hofmarskallatet and then submitted to Her Majesty the Queen, who personally appoints the new court supplier.

The appointment takes place according to a very old tradition on the monarch's birthday. When a company has received its appointment, it gives the right to use the crown together with the predicate and the company name according to very specific rules.

Long-term trade

As purveyor to H.M. The Queen Denmark's household, you not only deliver to members of the Royal Family and the royal household. Every single day, all Danes use one or more "royal" products for instance eggs, sugar, cars, can openers and glasses.

Companies and individuals can apply to become a court supplier. This requires long-term and regular trading with the royal house, and the company must be well-established, financially solid, well-managed and reputable.
